Peyton DeVinny Joins DMU Clinic as Certified Athletic Trainer

West Des Moines, IA (07/21/2025) — Des Moines University Clinic - Physical Therapy is pleased to announce the appointment of Peyton DeVinny, M.S., LAT, ATC, as a certified athletic trainer. DeVinny brings a robust background in athletic training and a commitment to athlete well-being to the DMU Clinic.

DeVinny earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in 2023, following a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Hamline University in 2021. Her extensive experience includes working with collegiate and high school athletes across multiple sports, including men's and women's track and field, cross country, women's swim and dive, women's soccer, girls' ice hockey and boys' high school football. Prior to joining the DMU Clinic, DeVinny served as a certified athletic trainer at Lake Superior State University, where she trained NCAA DI men's ice hockey and DII men's and women's golf.

"We are so happy to have Peyton on staff at the DMU Clinic," says Lauren Mach, P.T., D.P.T., ATC, head athletic trainer and physical therapist at the DMU Clinic. "Peyton brings a level of expertise and dedication that will be a significant asset to our athletic programs and the well-being of our athletes and patients."

Beyond athletic training, DeVinny's diverse background includes coaching girls and AAA hockey, health coaching and assisting in sports medicine.
