DMU Clinic - Physical Therapy Welcomes Heather Alaniz, P.T., D.P.T., OCS

Now Accepting New Patients at 3200 Grand, Des Moines

West Des Moines, IA (01/11/2024) — Heather Alaniz, P.T., D.P.T., OCS, brings diverse expertise as a new physical therapist in the Des Moines University Clinic - Physical Therapy. She previously practiced at Breathe Physical Therapy and Wellness in Des Moines, where she treated patients with diverse pelvic floor disorders, pre- and postpartum issues and orthopedic conditions.

Alaniz also served patients with a variety of conditions as a physical therapist at Swedish Covenant Hospital and Athletico Physical Therapy, both in Chicago.

Alaniz is accepting new patients at the DMU Clinic - Physical Therapy at 3200 Grand Ave., in Des Moines. Clinic services include treatment for muscle and joint pain of the extremities and spine, pelvic pain and incontinence, dizziness and balance problems, chronic pain and adult neurological conditions. Its clinicians also offer post-surgical rehabilitation, prenatal and postpartum care and post-rehabilitation management.

The DMU Clinic - Physical Therapy also is the exclusive provider of physical therapy and athletic training services at the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex, 6500 Grand Ave., West Des Moines.

Alaniz earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Iowa after completing her bachelor's degree in psychology at Wartburg College. She completed a residency in orthopedic physical therapy at Evidence in Motion in Chicago. She is a board-certified orthopedic specialist.
