Des Moines University Clinic Welcomes Brianna Riggio
Des Moines, IA (06/22/2026) — Des Moines University Clinic welcomes Brianna Riggio, MSN, RN, as director of clinic operations and strategy. In this role, she will oversee day-to-day clinic operations, support workflow optimization and staff development, and help ensure efficient, compliant and patient-centered care across clinic operations.

Prior to joining DMU Clinic, Riggio served as nurse manager for the Colorado State University Health Network, where she directed nursing and clinic operations across four ambulatory care clinics serving more than 300 patients daily. She also served as an administrative fellow with the CSU Health Network and Emergency Department Forensic Nurse Examiner with UCHealth's North Region.
"Throughout her career, Brianna has demonstrated leadership in health care administration, strategic planning, patient experience improvement, accreditation readiness and workforce development," says Angela Smith, MBA, chief clinic administrative officer.
Riggio earned a Master of Science in nursing specializing in administration and leadership from the University of Colorado Anschutz. She holds her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University.
